The Lord of the Rings

"One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them. One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them."

These past few days-weeks, I've been fond of watching, sufring and reading about the famous trilogy The Lord of the Rings.
Many have asked "Isn't this movie boring it's like the movie "Harry Potter", it takes time to finish it". I say: This Movie isn't boring as "Harry Potter"(Sorry Fans!!) I have my own reasons why I've watched and like this movie.

First is because in the year 2001, 2002, 2003 it had "only" been ranked 2nd then twice 1st respectively on the list of most high grossing film, having approximately 1 billion of worldwide gross revenue every year, winning 17 out of 30 Academy Awards nominated in total, amazing neh?
The Fellowship of the rings: Nominations:6 Wins:4
The Two Towers; Nominations:6 Wins:2
The Return of the King; Nominations:11 Wins:11
Oh... laban???

Second reason is the story line, once you've watched the first movie, or even a glimpse of the The Fellowship of the Ring you'll find yourself, hooked up with the movie. It can be compared into a contagious disease(O_O). And to add, where will you find such movie where the whole story and every part of it was created with such powerful imagination, of pure fantasy, yet so close to reality.

Third is the sountrack, I've tried downloading the whole album but it's NOT FOR FREE.... (pity).

Fourth are the characters/actors who've made the movie more exiting. Most of the actors were new but proved that they're worthy of such role to play in the movie.
Note: Even though most of them had injuries while shootig the movies, they're still competent and have an admirble acting^^.

Fifth was the graphics, the special effects. In the Trilogy 3 wars have occured, about 15 fighting scenes and the creatures and the places that are made of pure fantasy and only there you'll have the chance to see it. All of it has been enhanced by the playful trick of the computer. So unreal yet seem so real.

And of course -the reason why have to make up this nonsense- the quotations that has been said by various characters in the movie, that are to give such nutritious supliments to one's own view of life .Uh-oh, heres come the 'melodramatic-fool' part of me O_o.

--->the quotations that have been colored blue are my favorites. There are hardly any quotations that were said straight, the morals of the story is up to the person who'll use his/her own wisdom and understanding after watching the movie to weild such thought through the characters actions, words and beliefs. (So better watch it ^_-)

The Fellowship of the Ring
Bilbo & Gandalf singing
-"The Road goes ever on and on. Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone and I must follow, if I can. Pursuing it with eager feet, until it joins some larger way. Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say. "

Bilbo - Frodo to Sam

-'It's a dangerous business…' [Bilbo's voice] '…Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.'

Strider/Aragorn to Frodo

-"I can avoid being seen if I wish. But to disappear entirely, that is a rare gift." (I don't really know it this is consider as quotation, I just like the line^^)

Gandalf to Frodo

-"You must trust yourself. Trust your own strengths."

-"There are many powers in this world, for Good or for Evil. Some are greater than I am. And against some I have not yet been tested."

-"Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death, and some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise can not see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum(can be applied to anyone) has some part to play yet, for good or ill… before this is over."

Galadriel to Frodo
-"If you do not find the way, no one will"

The Two Towers

Treebeard to Merry and Pippin

-”Nobody cares for the woods anymore” (this is more of an expression, but can be considered as a quotation, i think)

-”The trees have grown wild and dangerous. Anger festers in their hearts. Black are their thoughts. Strong is their hate. They will harm you if they can. There are too few of us now, too few of us Ents left to manage them.” (heh! beware! this might be true! nature might take her own revenge after what we-humans have done to her!)

Aragorn to Haleth son of Hama

-”There is always hope”

Aragorn and Legolas (This is more of a conversation)

[Legolas looks at the Men & Lad that are so called soldiers]

Legolas: They’re Frightened. I can see it in their eyes. And they should be threehundred… against ten thousand!? They can’t win this fight. They are all going to die.

Aragorn: Then I should die as one of them!

SamwiseGamgee to Frodo Baggins (here comes my favorite!)

-”Full of darkness and danger they were (stories, the once-upon-a-time tellings). And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy?. How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened. But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer.”

“Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mister Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back only they didn’t. Because they were holding on to something.”

“That there’s some good in this world, Mister Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.(this was what they were holding onto)”

The Return of the King

Pippin to Gandalf

-”I don’t want to be in a battle, but waiting on the edge of one I can’t escape is even worse!” (can reffer to any trial one has/needs to pass)

Pippin (singing)

-”Home is behind, the world ahead and there are many paths to tread.”

Elrond to Arwen

-"Nothing is certain"

Gandalf to Pippin

-”Death is just another path, one that we all must take.”

Gimli to others

-”Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?”(simply means: take road less taken)

Frodo Narating

-”How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on, when in your heart, you begin to understand, there is no going back?”

-”There are some things that time cannot mend. Some hurts that go too deep… that have taken hold.”

->To Sam

-”My dear Sam, you cannot always be torn in two. You will have to be one and whole for many years. You have so much to enjoy and to be, and to do. Your part in this story will go on.” (simply means: life goes on)

—–>like what i have said, there are hardly any quotaions that was said straight, I suggest, watch it!!! ^^
